Beaches in Šibenik

Šibenik is located in the north of Dalmatia, in a jagged bay in which flows the river Krka, one of the most beautiful rivers in Croatia. The coastline is indented with a total of 242 islands, islets and rocks.

But above all, this area has a low population density, and so the county of Šibenik has a total of only 10 settlements. The largest group of islands is the Kornati which is known worldwide for its beauty and since 1980 it has been a national park. Given the jagged coastline and the low population density of Sibenik, it is not a problem finding a quiet and reserved place in this part of the Adriatic Sea, especially if you are ready to continue sailing a little further. Below we list some of the most famous beaches of Šibenik and surroundings.

Beaches of Solaris

The Solaris hotel complex is situated 6 km from Šibenik in the direction of Split and 6 km from the A1 motorway exit. The Solaris resort has been recently renovated and has everything you need for proper rest and relaxation. The beaches have a total of 4 kilometers in length and are thematically divided into five different parts. The beach is pebbly and sandy and very well maintained. Parasols and sun loungers can be hired on the beach. The deckchairs are made of wood, not plastic, as you will see on most of the beaches on the Adriatic, and umbrellas are made of wood and reeds. Admission to the Resort is not loaded, but the rental of chairs and umbrellas is more expensive than on most other beaches. Nearby there is a parking lot for which you pay 50-70 kuna a day.

For children and adults who love adventure there is a water park for which you also buy a day ticket. Immediately below the Aquapark is the beach bar, Legenda, built like a pirate ship. If you are looking for a little quieter place to relax without loud music in the Solaris Resort there is a small eco-friendly, authentic Dalmatian village. Here you can taste a variety of Dalmatian specialties and local products such as bread, olive oil, wine, octopus … with the sounds of Dalmatian song.

Moreover, for golf lovers there is an impeccably furnished hybrid golf course (par 3, 9 holes) which is available to all those who want to try their hand at this popular game. There is also a newly renovated spa with a range of new services.

Given the diversity and a wide range of content this is certainly one of the most beautiful beaches on the Adriatic coast, so if you are in the area of Šibenik, do not forget to visit the Solaris Beach Resort.

Zaboric Beach

Zaboric was a small, quiet village, but today it is the largest holiday settlement in this area. It is located 10 kilometers from Sibenik to the south, near Brodarica.

Zaboric has beautiful natural bays, pebble and sand beaches. Crystal clear water and dense pine forests provide a natural shade of wonderful rest and relaxation on the beach.
